There was some train of thought out there that No.1 Kansas might let up a bit following its clinching of at least a share of the Big 12 title on Saturday against Texas Tech for the 12th straight year. Oh boy, was that thought wrong.
The Wooden Award has released its Midseason Top-25 List for the 2015-16 season, and largely it features many of the names that you would expect, including Buddy Hield, Kris Dunn, Ben Simmons and Denzel Valentine.
For all of Kansas' success this season, the Jayhawks still haven't had to go on the road and defeat a ranked team. That will change on Tuesday, when the No. 1 team in the country will have to go into Morgantown to face off against West Virginia.
The John R. Wooden Award is given annually to the nation's top college basketball player. Kentucky and Indiana both have three players on the preseason Top 50 list. Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky won the award last season.
