A few days ago, cornerback Terence Newman called out his agent via Twitter. Well, if Newman is going to pick a fight with the man he hired to represent him, I guess it makes sense for him to scoop the entire NFL media with where he's going to play next season.
Terence Newman is a free agent. He spent last season with the Bengals after nine years in Dallas. And now, the 34-year-old former first-round pick would like to sign a contract -- to presumably stay in Cincinnati -- and continue his career. But he says he can't get ahold of his agent.
The Bengals have re-signed linebacker Rey Maualuga and are close to retaining cornerback/punt returner Adam Jones. Maualuga, who received a two-year contract worth $6.5 million, could be moved to the strong side after playing middle linebacker his first four seasons.
