The Lions have announced their inactive players for Saturday night's game against the Falcons.
When the 2012 season began, Lions' receivers -- Nate Burleson in particular -- were literally begging opponents to blitz quarterback Matthew Stafford in hopes of getting one-on-one coverage matchups that would allow them to shine. As the saying goes: Be careful what you wish for -- you just might get it.
Lions inactives for Sunday's game against the Cardinals include DT Nick Fairley and TE Brandon Pettigrew.
Like many NFL teams, the Lions' attitude when it comes to injuries calls for the "next man up" to be able to fill the injured player's place on the depth chart. At the rate Lions starters are getting banged up, however, there aren't many healthy men left in the locker room.
