Job & Description Responsibilities:
The programmer/Analyst designs and implements applications and tools in support of the SportsLine service. Applications to be developed include contests, news feed readers, text search engines, and Java applications. Applications will use the latest technologies to produce the coolest apps on Internet. Tools to be developed include web statistics, publishing auatomation, problem tracking, software control, and othergeneral automation tools. Duties include some HTML development but typically the development of applications to automate the publishing of HTML pages that make up the content of SportsLine. Development is done on UNIX in Perl, C, and C++ and Oracle RDBMS where necessary.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
C development experince
Experience with UNIX, minimally as a programmer

Preferences:
Application development with an RDBMS, preferably Oracle

Senior Systems Analyst

The Senior Systems Analyst designs and implements applications and tools in support of the SportsLine service. Applications to be developed include contests, news feed readers, text search engines, and Java applications. Applications will use the latest technologies to produce the coolest apps on the Internet. Tools to be developed include Web statistics, publishing automation, problem tracking, software control, and other general automation tools.
Duties include some HTML development but typically the development of applications to automate the publishing of HTML pages that make up the content of SportsLine. Development is done on UNIX in Perl, C, Java, and C++ and Oracle RDBMS where necessary. The Senior Systems Analyst defines the Application Architecture of the SportsLine Service and assists/directs junior personnel.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
7+ years in systems or application development
5+ years C development experience
4+ years developing on UNIX

Database Progammer/Consultant

Responsibilities:
The Database Programmer/Consultant will be reponsible for developing and supporting a Decision Management database to be used by SprotsLine's Marketing Department.
Specific reponsibilities: Understand the role of the Marketing Department and the type of data and statistics they need to build and grow various Marketing Programs. Analyze and understand the relationships between the Netscape Publishing System data tables and how to extract information needed by the Marketing department. Build and enhance the Marketing Decision Management Database. Keep it up-to-date as new data and statistics are required. Implement common reports for accessiblity by all Maketing Personnel. Ensure the reports and queries do not impact the production database or any production processes.
Requirements:
College Degree in Computer related field or equivalent experience,2+ years experience in systems or Applications Development, Preferably UNIX and C, 2+ years Database administration or application development on a UNIX relational database expereince.
Preferences:
Experience with Oracle version 7 on Sun Solaris,Relational Database Design Experience, Familiarity with the internet, Experience with HTML,PERL programming, Oracle's Discoverer 3.0.
