The Official All Star Cafe is a larger-than-life tribute to sports -- the events, athletes, and great moments -- that have transformed athletes into legends, and games into national pastimes.
"I wanted to round up the biggest names in sports to help capture the magic of going to The Big Game," said Earl. "My new partners have been at center court, center field and center ice for some of the most exciting moments in sports and now they will take center stage with me at the Official All Star Cafe in Times Square -- the Crossroads of the World.
"The Official All Star Cafe is not a traditional sports bar," said Earl. "I wanted to create a restaurant that would not only pay tribute to the athletes, but would also allow every fan or aspiring superstar to relish the excitement and magic associated with sports."
Heart-Pounding, Cutting-Edge Technology and Memorabilia
The Official All Star Cafe, spans approximately 30,000 feet, with 40-foot ceilings, and features cantilevered light supports, mezzanine skybox booths and a center court arena sized scoreboard. Bars on both the upper and lower decks allow 150 guests (known as "fans") to step up to the plate and quench their thirst. Lining the sidelines are booths shaped like huge baseball mitts.
The Official All Star Cafe is designed so guests experience the visceral sense of being at the game. Designed by the Rockwell Group, whose success includes the interiors of hot restaurants like Nobu, Vong and the Monkey Bar in New York City as well as over 30 Planet Hollywood restaurants worldwide, the Official All Star Cafe's design brings "technology as entertainment" to the highest level ever with state-of-the-art application of interactive TV and virtual reality video. Fans will watch videos of the greatest plays in sports history set to kicking music, orchestrated by video DJ's. Over 60 video monitors are positioned around the restaurant to ensure that every seat in the house has a front row view
Fans are also surrounded by walls clustered with memorabilia and equipment once sported by their favorite superstars, such as Andre Agassi's Wimbledon outfit; Wayne Gretzky's All Star game uniform; Ken Griffey Jr.'s Louisville Slugger; Joe Montana's helmet; Monica Seles' U.S. Open Women's Championship trophy along with her racquet and outfit, and the backboard Shaquille O' Neal smashed on his way to becoming one of the NBA's leading scorers.
All Star Ballpark Refreshments
Top cuisine and favorite sports grub team up at the Official All Star Cafe making the menu a tasty homage to immortal "sports food." Traditional ballpark refreshments, including 10 types of burgers, spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings, mouth-watering Philly Cheesesteaks, finger-licking good Southern Fried Chicken, a selection of pastas and a field of greens, with five kinds of fresh salads to get fans ready for game time.
Suit Up at the Official All Star Cafe
The Official All Star Cafe doesn't have just one type of uniform for fans to purchase. Visitors young and old are able to choose from a wide array of shirts, jackets, and hats from five different sports. Whether it's a tennis polo, a hockey or football jersey, a basketball tank top, or a baseball shirt, fans can outfit themselves from head-to-toe. So no matter what or where they play, fans can always be part of the Official All Star Cafe team. Other Official All Star Cafe merchandise includes track suits, boxer shorts, logo pins, sunglasses, watches, beer mugs, shot glasses, coffee mugs, and locker bags.
