BRETT HABER
(CBS Sports Reporter) In his third year as reporter for CBS Sports' NCAA Tournament coverage, Haber additionally serves as host of "Fidelity Investments CBS Sports Desk throughout the year. He was a correspondent for TNT Sports, hosting NBA studio coverage and contributing to "Listen Up with Charles Barkley" and was weekday host of "Haber & Erin" morning show on WWZZ-FM in Washington, DC. Haber worked for WCBS-TV, CBS's owned station in New York, as Sports Director and sports anchor for two years. He anchored the stations 11:00PM newscast and called pre-season New York Jets games for WCBS-TV. Haber served as host of live weekly NFL pre-game show, "Jets Tailgate" and spent prior three years as Sports Director/weekday sports anchor for WTTG-TV Washington, D.C. Haber held position of main sports anchor on FOX 5 News at 10 and also served as host of critically acclaimed Redskins Playbook pre-game and post-game shows and was contributor to FOX NFL Sunday. From 1994-97 was primary host of ESPN's "SportsCenter" and co-hosted Feel Good Edition of show with Craig Kilborn, host of THE LATE LATE SHOW on CBS. Haber received Emmy Award for work on show and was later honored by ATP Tour as International Tennis Correspondent of the Year for coverage of Wimbledon and U.S. Open Tennis Championships. He has garnered nine national and regional Emmy awards during career, including Outstanding Sportscaster at Mid-Atlantic Emmy awards (1998, 1999 and 2000). Haber also received prestigious National Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism (1998). He is a board member of Tim and Tom Gullikson Foundation for brain tumor patients. Haber graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College in 1991 with degree in English. Brett Haber was born Feb. 7, 1969 in New York City.
