Conference Wraps: A glance at every game
ACC | Big East | Big Ten | Big 12 | Big West | C-USA
Independents | MAC | MWC | Pac-10 | SEC | WAC

West Virginia 43, Miami (Ohio) 27
Travis Prentice carried 29 times for 163 yards, but it was not nearly enough, as West Virginia, after trailing briefly, ran off 10 third-quarter points to break open a close game. WV's Avon Cobourne gained 142 yards and Marc Bulger threw for three TDs.
No. 9 Wisconsin 50, Ball State 10
Wisconsin Heisman Trophy candidate Ron Dayne gained 158 yards on 31 carries as the Badgers ran away from the Cardinals.
Bowling Green 40, Tennessee Tech 15
A 23-point third quarter was all the Falcons needed to get healthy before their big meeting next week with Marshall.
Michigan State 51, Eastern Michigan 7
After a good deal of pre-game talk from EMU's Jermaine Sheffield, the Spartans had no mercy for the Eagles, running out to a 41-0 halftime lead.
Vanderbilt 34, Northern Illinois 31
The Huskies held a 28-3 lead in the third quarter, but ultimately lost the game when Vanderbilt's Jimmy Williams brought a punt back 65 yards for a TD with just 1:41 to play. The loss dropped NIU to 0-7 all-time against SEC teams.
Western Michigan 46, Youngstown State 28
Western Michigan scored 19 fourth-quarter points to avoid the upset at the hands of the Division I-AA Penguins.
Navy 48, Kent 28
The Middies led 21-0 before the game was 12 minutes old and the Flashes were an afterthought before halftime. The bright spot for Kent was the connection between QB Jose Davis and WR Jason Gavadza. The pair hooked up for scoring tosses of 66 and 29 yards.
Marshall 63, Liberty 3
A week after posting a big win over Auburn, the Herd came home and made short-work of the Division I-AA Flames.
Akron 17, Buffalo 10
Akron opened a 10-0 lead and eventually ruined the Bulls' first game in their new stadium.
Northern Iowa 36, Ohio 21
An embarrassing loss for the Bobcats to the Division I-AA Panthers.
Syracuse 47, Central Michigan 7
Syracuse wide receiver Quinton Spotwood caught six passes for 135 yards, including a 56-yarder from sophomore QB Tony Nunes which staked the Orangemen to a 17-0 first-quarter lead. Nunes completed eight of 13 passes for 170 yards.
