Spotlight Games

Dennis Dodd -- Florida State 47, NC State 20: Peter Warrick plays wideout, quarterback, guard, defensive back, and tuba. Then after halftime ….
Mike Kahn -- Miami 23, Penn State 20: We saw last week against Pitt, those Nittany Lions of Penn State aren't on the brink of anything special, but we're not sure the 'Canes aren't on the verge of regaining prominence as a national championship contender. This is the week we'll find out a lot about both teams.
Don Borst -- Michigan 30, Syracuse 17: Payback time for the real-deal Wolverines, who have a defense and running game good enough to help their quarterbacks find such immediate success, no matter which one is calling the signals. The young Orange QBs have been better than expected, and Syracuse might deserve to be ranked in the Top 25 … but Michigan's defense is just too strong in this one.
Anthony Gimino -- Tennessee 31, Florida 28: The Gators like to talk about how Tennessee's overtime victory last season involved some charity, namely Florida's five turnovers. The Gators like to talk about how playing in The Swamp, where they have won 29 games in a row and haven't lost to the Vols since 1971, will make a difference. All that might be true … but it looks like the Vols have a key edge in one area: Talent.
