Marion Jones finishes the Olympics with three gold and two bronze medals, the U.S. women's basketball team successfully defends it's gold medal against Australia and Lance Armstrong takes bronze in the time trial.

DAY 14
Marion Jones ends her quest for five golds by taking bronze in the long jump and the U.S. Dream Team barely escapes Lithuania 85-83 to advance to the gold-medal game.

DAY 13
Marion Jones is 2 for 2 as she easily takes gold in the women's 200m. The U.S. women's soccer team falls to Norway in OT to take the silver medal.

DAY 12
The U.S. baseball team defeats Cuba for the gold medal and American wrestler Rulon Gardner hands Russian favorite Alexander Karelin his first loss in 13 years of competition for the gold medal.

DAY 11
The U.S. softball team defeats Japan for the gold medal, the U.S. baseball team advances to the gold medal game and Andreea Raducan is stripped of her all-around gold medal in gymnastics.

DAY 10
Michael Johnson wins the 400m for his second gold medal in the event, Australia's Cathy Freeman wins the 400m gold in the women's race and it's announced that world shot put champ C.J. Hunter tested positive for an illegal substance.

DAY 9
The U.S. women's soccer team advances to the gold medal match, Texan Laura Wilkinson wins gold in diving and Michael Johnson qualifies for the 400m final.

DAY 8
Marion Jones and Maurice Greene give the U.S. a gold-medal sweep in the 100m and the U.S. men's and women's medley relay teams set world records in the pool.

DAY 7
The women's softball team snaps a three-game losing streak and Americans Gary Hall, Jr. and Anthony Ervin tie for the men's 50m gold.

DAY 6
Lenny Krayzelburg wins his second gold medal; the U.S. softball team loses its third straight game for the first time and the men's Dream Team survives a close call against Lithuania.

DAY 5
The U.S. women's softball team loses its second straight game and American Misty Hyman upsets Aussie favorite Susie O'Neill in the 200m fly.

DAY 4
The Australian men shatter the 4x200m relay record; the U.S. women's gymnastics team finishes fourth and Tom Malchow wins gold in the 200m Butterfly.

DAY 3
China wins the men's team gymnastics gold, Ukranian-born Krayzelburg wins gold for the U.S. in the backstroke and women's softball and basketball teams remain unbeaten.

DAY 2
More swimming world records fall, the U.S. baseball teams wins in the 13th inning and the U.S. men's basketball team has little trouble with China.

DAY 1
The first gold medal is awarded and several swimming world records fall.
