Super Regional rundown: Nebraska rode the arm of Shane Komine to a convincing 7-0 win in game one of its super regional series against Rice, and then scored six runs in the ninth and 10th innings of the second game to sweep its way to its first CWS berth. Komine struck out 12 in a complete game three-hitter to set the tone for the Huskers' dominance.
Regional rundown: Nebraska hit seven home runs, two each by John Cole and Jeff Leise, en route to a 36-run outburst against Northern Iowa and Rutgers pitching over a three-game stretch. Leise earned MVP honors, fueling the Huskers' attack in both the leadoff spot and at the bottom of the order.
