Intangibles | Overall Edge | Gameday Weather

Stanford beat UCLA in the last meeting on The Farm, and last year's loss in Pasadena came down to the last possession. With 16 starters back from last year's team, Stanford's success only feeds its confidence, which was heightened by last week's win over Oregon.

Stanford took advantage of Oregon's special teams by blocking two punts in last week's game, but the Cardinal was far from stellar in that area. The Ducks ran back a kickoff and punt for touchdowns and blocked an extra point that kept them up 42-41, late in the fourth. UCLA's return teams have done very little this season, ranking last in the Pac-10 in kickoffs and eighth on punts, but this could be a week for the athletic Bruins to break out.

The Bruins have made a living right after halftime, outscoring opponents 72-0 in the third quarter.
