The final game of October becomes a landmark game for both Florida State and Maryland.

The Seminoles are fighting for their tradition, their ACC dominance, their permanent spot in the Top 25. The Terps are looking to take advantage of a golden opportunity, fueled by a senior-laden defense and an option attack that has been virtually unstoppable.

Speed is the decisive factor. The Terrapin defense is extremely fast and will keep things close, but FSU's speed will do what few have this season -- contain Maryland.

In the second half, look for Adrian McPherson to supplant a sluggish Chris Rix and fuel a Seminole surge that pushes them past a very game bunch of Terps.
