Paul Azinger
Azinger was at the very top of the golf world in 1993 having won three
times including the first of what appeared to be many majors at the
PGA Championship when he was diagnosed with lymphoma in his right
shoulder. Azinger's fight back to the upper echelons of golf has been
a heroic one. His book Zinger tells the story of his struggle
with cancer. Azinger was awarded the Ben Hogan Trophy in 1995 for his
perseverance under trying circumstances.
