Mark Brooks


Brooks is another in the line of talented Texans. The former Longhorn picked up his first PGA Tour win at the 1988 Canon Sammy Davis, Jr.-Greater Hartford Open. In 1996, he enjoyed his best year ever with three victories including his first major title at the PGA Championship. Brooks twice won the Texas state amateur and was a three-time All-American for the University of Texas. He is also a course designer as well as one of the founders of the Tour Players Association, a fledgling group whose mission is to represent the rights and desires of PGA Tour players.
