Corey Pavin
Pavin will long be remembered in connection with his 4-wood approach
to Shinnecock's 18th green which sealed the 1995 U.S. Open for
him. Known as one of the grittiest competitors on Tour, Pavin first
won on the PGA at the 1984 Houston Coca-Cola Open. With more than 20
wins worldwide, Pavin began his winning ways at 17 taking the Junior
World and Los Angeles City men's titles. Pavin was the Pac-10 champion
in 1982.
