Hawks sign Glover to three-year contract
July 15, 1999
ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks on Thursday signed guard Dion Glover, one
of the team's three first-round draft choices, to a three-year contract.
The 6-foot-5 Glover was the third-leading freshman scorer in the nation in 1997-98, averaging 18.4 points for Georgia Tech. He missed last season after he tore left knee ligaments during his first practice as a sophomore. The Hawks signed their other first-round choices, Jason Terry and Cal Bowdler, on Wednesday.
