Police said one man died at the scene and the other died at Grady Memorial Hospital. Investigators said they were attacked about 4 a.m., six hours after the Super Bowl ended at the Georgia Dome about seven miles away.

Police were searching for six men who fled the lounge in a limousine. Witnesses said the men in the limousine were involved in an argument with the victims and fired at least five gunshots as they drove away.

Despite the report of shots, Atlanta police Lt. M.C. Smith said the preliminary investigation indicated both victims were stabbed.

The victims were not immediately identified.
