Forrest, who plays for West Ham United of England's Premier League, stopped shots by Yoo Sang-Chul in the sixth and 84th minutes, Noh Jung-Yoon in the 51st and Ahn Jung-Whan in the 76th and 81st.

South Korea led 13-3 in shots and 5-0 in shots on goal.

The tie was Canada's second in as many matches in the tournament for national teams from North and Central America and the Caribbean. The Canadians opened the tournament by tying Costa Rica 2-2 Sunday in San Diego.

Canada would be kept from advancing to Sunday's quarterfinals in San Diego if Costa Rica and South Korea play to a 3-3 tie in the final Group D first-round match Thursday night in Los Angeles. Canada also would be eliminated if Costa Rica and South Korea play to a 2-2 tie and it loses a coin flip.
