PORTLAND, Ore. -- The wife of Portland Trail Blazers center Arvydas
Sabonis was charged with drunken driving about two hours before her husband's
team played the Utah Jazz in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals.
Ingrida Sabonis, a former model and actress who was once named Miss Vilnius
of Lithuania, was cited Tuesday afternoon as she drove to a Portland school to
pick up her four children.
Police said another driver spotted the woman driving erratically on U.S. 26.
The driver followed her to the school parking lot and called 911.
She was charged with driving under the influence. She was booked and
released from jail just before 7 p.m.
Arvydas Sabonis, who also is Lithuanian, had 16 points and nine rebounds as
the Blazers eliminated the Jazz 81-79.
