DAMMAM, Saudi Arabia -- Two goals from Talal Al Meshal and a strike by substitute Sami Al Jaber gave Saudi Arabia a comfortable 3-0 win over Bangladesh in the World Cup Asian zone, group 10 qualifying tournament on Saturday.

Al Meshal scored in the 30th and 88th minutes while former Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Al Jaber came off the bench to register his first goal for over six months for the Saudis after 63 minutes.

The win puts Nassr Al Johar's side two points clear at the top of the group standings after two of the six rounds. Only the top side go through to Asia's second phase of qualifying.

Bangladesh coach Jorge Kottau said his side were simply outclassed by the twice World Cup finalists. "The match was between masters and school students," said the Brazilian.

"The Saudis are professionals and my team are amateurs but I think we did well because we prepared for only a short time before coming here."
