Los Angeles Xtreme wide receiver Jermaine Copeland and Orlando Rage safety Omar Brown on Tuesday were named as XFL players of the week for Week 2.
Copeland caught 17 passes for 190 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown in the first overtime, as the Xtreme posted a 39-32 double overtime victory over the Chicago Enforcers.
The 17 catches is an XFL record, but is not even a personal best for Copeland, who once caught 19 passes in an NFL Europe game playing for Barcelona.
Brown had 10 solo tackles, returned a fumble 12 yards for a touchdown, forced a fumble on a kickoff return, intercepted a pass and knocked down two others in Orlando's 26-14 win over San Francisco.
Others considered for offensive honors were Xtreme quarterback Tommy Maddox, who threw for 422 yards and four touchdowns and Birmingham receiver Stepfret Williams.
Others considered for defensive honors were Las Vegas linebacker Kurt Gouveia, who returned a fumble 100 yards for a touchdown, and Memphis linebacker Richard Hogans.
