Iraq stay top after draw with Kazakhstan, Nepal win 4-1

BAGHDAD -- Leaders Iraq came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Kazakhstan in a World Cup Asian Zone group six qualifier on Monday.

Kazakhstan shocked a home crowd of nearly 60,000 by taking a sixth minute lead through Baltiyev Ruslan.

But Abdul Wahab Abulheel earned Iraq a point with a 31st minute penalty.

Kazakhstan's Avedyev Igor was sent off four minutes from time.

Nepal crushes Macao 4-1

In group six's other match on Monday, Nepal beat Macao 4-1.

Rayamajhi Nirajan scored twice, with Thapa Kumar and Khadha Hari also on target. Leong Kit Cheong scored for Macao but they had Leong Chong sent-off.

Iraq top the group on goal difference from Kazakhstan. Both teams have seven points, with Nepal third and Macao fourth.
