FOXBORO, Mass. -- Santino Quaranta scored two goals to lead D.C. United to a 3-1 victory over the New England Revolution on Saturday night. The 16-year-old Quaranta scored United's first goal in the fifth minute and scored again in stoppage time. After a turnover by New England defender Mauricio Wright, Jamie Moreno ran 35 yards down the left side and crossed to an unmarked Quaranta, who scored from 7 yards out. New England (4-9-4) nearly tied the game in the 53rd minute, but a shot by Cate went inches wide of the left post. United (6-10-1) extended its lead to 2-0 in the 71st minute, when Moreno scored his eighth of the year, heading in a corner kick by Marco Etcheverry. The Revolution's William Sunsing scored from 12 yards, converting a pass from Cate in the 87th minute. Quaranta scored his fifth of the year in stoppage time, beating Revolution goalkeeper Jeff Causey from 6 yards. New England goalkeeper Jose Fernandez left the game with a concussion in the 17th minute, and defender Ted Chronopoulos pulled his left hamstring in the 27th minute.
