Bahrain records 2-0 win over Iraq

MANAMA, Bahrain -- Bahrain beat Iraq 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday night on second-half goals by Talal Yosuf and Ghazi Al-Kawari.

Bahrain (1-0-1) moved into the Group A lead with four points, followed by Iraq (1-1), Saudi Arabia (0-0-1), Iran (0-0) and Thailand (0-1). Saudi Arabia is at Iran on Friday.

The top team qualifies for next year's World Cup, and the second-place team advances to playoffs for another berth.
