PHILADELPHIA -- Kim Johnsson, a defenseman acquired in the Eric Lindros deal, signed a three-year contract Monday with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Johnsson was obtained by the Flyers along with right wing Pavel Brendl, free-agent left wing Jan Hlavac and a third-round draft pick in 2003.

Johnsson had five goals, 21 assists and 40 penalty minutes in 75 games for the Rangers last season. He starred at the 2001 world championships for Sweden, which won the bronze medal.
