BANGKOK, Thailand -- Thailand and Bahrain tied 1-1 Tuesday in a World Cup qualifier that had been postponed because of a stadium fire. Neither Asian team is in position to qualify for next year's World Cup in Japan and South Korea. Husain Ali Ahmed of Bahrain tied the score in 90th minute on a 25-yard shot. Worawut Srimaka of Thailand opened the scoring in the 20th minute. The game was first played on Saturday but was halted after 25 minutes because a fire in the stadium's electrical room. Bahrain led 1-0, but Asian soccer authorities ordered a new game for Tuesday.
