CLEVELAND -- Indianapolis Colts receiver Marvin Harrison set the NFL single-season record for receptions by making his 124th catch Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Harrison, who has caught at least 100 passes in each of the past four seasons, broke Herman Moore's 1995 mark of 123 catches. Harrison got the record on his sixth reception with 9:30 left in the third quarter.

On 4th-and-1 at the Cleveland 44, Harrison caught a 4-yard curl from Peyton Manning before taking a hard hit from cornerback Corey Fuller. The catch gave Harrison 97 yards for the game.

Earlier this season, Harrison surpassed Hall of Famer Raymond Berry as the Colts' career leader in receptions. Harrison entered Sunday's game with 640 catches, nine more than Berry.
