The Anteaters sputtered to just two victories in the Big West and six overall last season, but five starters return to a program with nowhere to go but up.

Pat Douglass has had little top talent to work with in his two seasons with the Anteaters, but will need to show improvement or his job could be in jeopardy.

Improvement should come with the return of conference freshman of the year Jerry Green and three other players who scored better than nine points per contest. Look for more victories, but venturing into the upper half of the West still may be a year away.

Keep an eye on

Jerry Green. Named the conference's Freshman of the Year after becoming the school's third-highest scoring freshman in history.
