Utah State Aggies

SportsLine/Lindy's reports
Nov. 12, 1999

Coach Stew Morrill is faced with the challenge of dealing with eight new players, a number he says is the most he has had at any time in his coaching career.

Fast facts
Coach: Stew Morrill -- At Utah State: 15-13, 1 year; Overall: 233-151, 13 years

1998-99 Record: 15-13 Overall; 8-8 Big West (4th East)

Honors candidate: Troy Rolle

The Aggies made a push into the conference tournament last season but return just starting guard Troy Rolle and reserves Tony Brown and Dimitri Jorssen.

The loss of powerful forwards Pharoah Davis and Donnie Johnson leaves the Aggies weak in the front court. Morrill admits he doesn't know what to expect this season, and it's safe to assume Aggie fans shouldn't expect much.

Keep an eye on

Shawn Daniels, a junior college transfer who, at 250 pounds, should add some bulk to a thin front line.
