You can't win 'em all, but the Toronto Blue Jays have won their first five series for the first time in franchise history.

The Blue Jays took two of three over the weekend from the Royals, despite losing Sunday's finale 4-2.

The Jays (9-4), leading the Yankees and Red Sox by a half-game in the AL East, couldn't produce a clutch hit against the Royals when they needed it, but manager Buck Martinez wasn't complaining.

"I don't think it's time to break everything down and switch it around," Martinez said. "I'm very satisfied with the way we played. The record would indicate that. It just proves once again that if you pitch well, you are going to win a lot of ballgames."

After an off day, the Blue Jays open a three-game series at SkyDome against the Yankees.
