Coach's Edge -- CBS SportsLine

Raiders and Chiefs revive their traditional rivalry on Monday night. Both are 0-1, so each team will come into the game with a small chip on the shoulder.

The Raiders have reinstated their famous vertical passing game that was absent the past couple of years under former coach Mike White. New QB Jeff George was 21 of 37 passing last week against the Oilers, and sent the game into overtime with a last minute strike to Tim Brown. Expect George to try to find Brown or James Jett with the long bomb vs. the Chiefs.

The Raiders will line up both Jett (#82) and Brown (#81) split to the right side. Brown will go in motion on the cadence and slide to the near side of Jett. As the ball is snapped, George (#3) will fake the quick pitch to Kaufman (#26). This fake will allow both Jett and Brown to get a step on the coverage, while giving George more time in the pocket as the linebackers read run. Brown will run a quick post crossing from right to left, while Jett runs a deep fly. If the deep safety helps out on Brown, look for George to air it out over the top to a streaking Jett.
