Spring into Training with eDiets.com Official Sweepstakes Rules

Please Note: To be eligible to win prizes in the Sweepstakes, you must be 18 years of age or older, a legal resident of the 48 contiguous United States. Void in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.
1. How to Enter: There are two ways to enter:
(1) To register go to: http://cbs.sportsline.com/u/contests/ediets/login.htm
Follow the instructions to complete the online entry form and you will be entered for the drawing. To be eligible for the drawing, on-line entries must be received by 5:00 PM on October 19, 2001. Limit one entry per person (regardless of method of entry), household and e-mail address. If you are a SportsLine Rewards Subscriber, or a SportsLine Member, you may enter by submitting your ID and Password. Non-members may obtain a SportsLine user ID and password by clicking on the "Sign Me Up" button and completing the registration form:

You will be asked to provide your name, address and e-mail address, phone number and birthdate and to select a User ID and Password. There is no fee to obtain a SportsLine user ID and password. Once contestants have finished the registration process they can immediately begin playing by following the directions set forth in the sweepstakes area of the CBS SportsLine Service. All entries become the property of the SportsLine.com, Inc. and eDiets.com and will not be returned.
(2) To enter by mail, handwrite your name, address and phone number and the words "Spring into Training Sweepstakes" on a 3x5 card and mail it in a hand-addressed envelope to: Spring into Training Sweepstakes, 2200 West Cypress Creek, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33309. Limit one 3x5 card entry per person. Sweepstakes begins at 11:00 AM ET on April 18, 2001. Mail in entries must be postmarked by October 19, 2001 and received by October 25, 2001. Limit one entry per outer envelope. No photocopied, mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. All entries must carry a live stamp. No postage metered entries will be accepted.
2. Sweepstakes Period/Deadlines: Starts April 18, 2001 at 11:00 AM ET and ends October 19, 2001 at 5:00 PM ET ("Sweepstakes Period").
3. Eligibility:To be eligible to win prizes in the Sweepstakes, you must be 18 years of age or older, and a legal resident of the 48 contiguous United States. Void in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. Employees (and their immediate family members) of SportsLine.com, Inc., CBS Broadcasting, eDiets.com, Bodytrends.com. and their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, advertising agencies ("Sweepstakes Entities") are not eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. Immediate family member is defined as parent, sibling or any person residing in the same household as the employee.
4. Drawing and Notification: One Grand Prize Winner will be selected from all eligible entries in a random drawing held on or about October 26, 2001 by SportsLine.com, Inc., whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winner will be notified by phone, e-mail and/or mail. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made within seven (7) days from the first notification attempt, such person may be disqualified, and an alternate winner selected.

Prize cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion. No substitution or transfer of prize permitted except that SportsLine.com, Inc. reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the offered prize is unavailable.
6. General: Grand Prize Winner is required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and, where legally permissible, a Publicity Release ("Affidavit/Release") within 7 days of date of first attempted notification. Failure to execute and return documents, ineligibility, and failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in disqualification, and an alternate winner will be selected. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. If notification letter is returned as "undeliverable", or potential winner cannot be contacted after reasonable effort, prize may be forfeited and alternate winner will be selected. All tax liabilities arising from acceptance or use of a prize in this Sweepstakes will be the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Except where prohibited by law, the winners' entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sweepstakes Entities to use winners' names, photographs, likeness, statements, biographical information, voices, and addresses (city and state) worldwide and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation.
7. Sweepstakes Conditions: This Sweepstakes is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and the Sweepstakes Administrator, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. Entrants agree that the Sweepstakes Entities shall not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind, including personal injury or property damage, resulting from Entrants' participation in this Sweepstakes including, but not limited to, the acceptance, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with the Sweepstakes will be ineligible for prizes and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
SportsLine.com, Inc., in its sole discretion, may disqualify any Member or Entrant from participating in the use of any or all portions of this Web site, refuse to award points or prizes, and require the return of any prizes, if Member or Entrant engages in any conduct SportsLine.com, Inc. deems to be improper, unfair or otherwise adverse to the operation of the Web site or detrimental to other Members or Entrants. Such improper conduct, includes, but is not limited to, falsifying personal information required during Member registration or prize claim, violating any term or condition stated herein, accumulating points or prizes through methods such as automated computer scripts or other programming techniques, allowing others to use the Member's person information for the purpose of accumulating points or prizes, tampering with Sportsline.com, Inc.'s administration of this promotion, or intentionally trying to defraud, reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile or otherwise tamper with the computer programs on this Web site. Member or Entrant further acknowledges that the forfeiture of prize(s) and/or return of any prize(s) shall in no way prevent SportsLine.com, Inc. from pursuing other avenues of recourse such as criminal or civil proceedings in connection with such conduct.
8. Limitations of Liability: The Sponsor and Sweepstakes Administrator are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incorrectly addressed, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable or destroyed entries that are not received due to any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers or computer equipment. The Sponsor and the Sweepstakes Administrator are also not responsible for injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering and participating in the Sweepstakes or downloading any material for the Sweepstakes or other telecommunications malfunctions.
Sweepstakes Administrator may prohibit you from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize, if in its sole discretion it determines you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices or engaging in acitivities which annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other players or any of the Sweepstakes Entities. If, for any reason, this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, whether due to reasons including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor or Sweepstakes Administrator which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sweepstakes Administrator reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SWEEPSTAKES ADMINISTRATOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
9. Rules/Winner Information: For winner information or an additional copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope by November 30, 2001 to: Spring into Training with eDiets Official Sweepstakes, PO Box 407000, Ft. Lauderdale FL, 33340. Specify "Rules" or "Winners' List". Winner information available after October 31, 2001. (Vt. residents need not provide return postage.)
