1968 American Football League: New York Jets 27 - Oakland 23Namath completed 19 of 49 passes for three touchdowns as the Jets came from behind to defeat the Raiders, 27-23, for their first AFL title. Don Manard caught the first TD toss (14 yards) and the game winner (6 yards) while Pete Lamons caught the other (20 yards). Namath also rushed once for 14 yards.

Super Bowl III: New York Jets 16 - Baltimore Colts 7Namath defied the odds-makers with his "guarantee" of victory a few days before the game, but then followed through on his boast by leading the Jets to one of the most stupendous upsets in pro football history. Many consider this to be one of the "landmark" games of all time. Namath completed 17 of 28 passes for 206 yards. He was not intercepted. He was named the game's Most Valuable Player.
