Suffered a cracked rib on May 2 when hit by a David Palmer pitch and was hampered over the next 3-4 weeks

Fielding: made a career low 8 errors (6 at third base; 2 at first); won his 10th Gold Glove Award;
Beginning August 3, he did not make an error in his last 58 games (163 total chances in 458.1 innings) and made only one error in his last 95 games beginning June 23
Did not make an error on the road in his last 54 games beginning June 6
