Congressional's signature hole is also
normally the finishing hole, but the order
has been changed for the U.S. Open. A slight dogleg left and downhill, it's capped by a green guarded by water on three sides in an amphitheater-like setting. The tee shot should be right-to-left with cedars and bunkers on the right. The approach to the downhill green with water on three sides might be the toughest and biggest test on the course. With the pin placement in the back-left on Sunday, the water looms eager to affect the championship. |
