PORTLAND -- Michael Jordan has left the building all too soon for his faithful fans in Taiwan.
Customers there who spent hundreds of dollars on Oregon-based Nike athletic apparel to ensure themselves a spot in the audience Saturday when the basketball star visited their country were disappointed when he appeared for only two minutes.
Jordan was visiting Taiwan as part of a seven-day promotional tour in Asia.

The former Chicago Bulls great took part in a skit with two children and spoke about the importance of hard work, Nike spokeswoman Shelley Peng said.
To resolve the complaints, Nike met Tuesday with five consumer and government agencies in Taiwan and worked out a compromise, Peng said.
Nike Taiwan will offer copies of the vintage "Wings" poster of Michael Jordan with his arms stretched open. In addition, the company will give the fans priority entry to a future event by a visiting NBA star and will offer a free pair of Air Jordan shoes unavailable in Taiwan.
Jordan's celebrity in Asia made it difficult to do much more for fans, Theresa Tran, a spokeswoman for Nike's Jordan division, told The (Portland) Oregonian.
