Michael:Thanks for the Birthday message...My birthday was fun -- spent quietly at home with my family. Happy Birthday to you too Juan!

Question: Dear Michael, Who do you think deserves the 2000 NBA MVP award?

Michael:Oh -- we're only half way through the season, Craig. It is too soon to tell who is helping his team as the league MVP...we'll have to see how the rest of the season goes.

Question:Dear Michael, I have just learned of your endorsement of Presidential candidate Bill Bradley. I also believe that he is the best man for the job. Do you think it will encourage others to get involved?

Michael:I hope so. It is very important that people vote in elections, because everyone's voice matters. I am proud to lend my support to Bill Bradley, because he is a person who I respect and admire, and with whom I share common values.

Question:Dear Michael, I am a third grader. I am doing a report about you for school. What things did you like to do when you were a kid like me? Thanks for your help. Love, Alvin.

Michael:Alvin, thanks for writing. I liked to do a lot of things when I was your age. I like to play sports, baseball and of course, basketball. I also enjoyed my classes in school -- especially math.

Question:Micheal, Do you think that the older players help the team or hurt it?

Michael:I think older players are especially important to a team. Older players have played the game a lot longer, and through their experience can pass on what they know to the younger players. I have learned so much from the players that have come before me, and in the same way, have felt obligated to be tough on younger players so I can pass on my knowledge to them.
