Dear Mr. Jordan, If you hadn't become a professional basketball player, what do you think you would be doing right now?

Michael Jordan/Reuters

Michael:While there were a lot of people (including my High School Principal who thought I should join the armed services!) who thought I wouldn't make it as a professional basketball player, I dreamed of being a professional player since I was young. I suppose if I hadn't pursued basketball, my other love was baseball....

Question: Hi Mike, I was just wondering what you are doing off the court and are considering going back to baseball, or basketball to coach or own a team?

Michael: I have been very busy with several of my endorsement obligations with companies such as NIKE, Gatorade, MCI WorldCom and Bijan, to name a few. I have been playing a lot of golf, and I've also been spending time at home with my kids, which has been great. I am not considering a return to basketball or baseball, nor would I think that I am ready to be a coach now. If the opportunity is right, I would consider owning a professional basketball team.

Question: Dear Mr. Michael Jordan, I was watching your interview with Katie Couric and you mentioned a fantasy basketball camp that you run in Las Vegas, can you give me any information?

Michael: I run an adult (35 and over) Basketball Camp in Las Vegas each year -- called the Michael Jordan Sr. Flight School. Next year it is going to be held August 17-20, 2000. For more information, you can call 503/402-8688.

Question: Dear Michael - Hi, I am your biggest fan! I miss watching you play! I am really into basketball, and I completely look up to you as many people do. Do you have any regrets about your decision to stop playing basketball?

Michael: No -- I am very happy with my decision. I think everything happens for a reason, and it was the right time for me to retire. The challenge would not have been the same for me with Phil Jackson taking a different direction, and management's decision to rebuild -- I didn't want to go through that with new teammates. That doesn't mean I don't miss playing, but I have no regrets about retiring.

Question: MJ, I recently saw you on TV talking about your new fragrance, but we have one loud mouth in our office, so I didn't get to hear the name. Could you tell me about it? Thanks

Michael: It is "Jordan by Michael" my newest scent from Bijan. I am really excited about it -- it captures more of who I am now -- off of the court. I was very involved in selecting the scent and am proud of the product. You tell me if you like it.
