Question: What do you do in your spare time for fun?

Michael Jordan/Reuters Michael: As many of my fans know, I love the game of golf...so many of my free days are spent on a variety of golf courses in the Chicago area. Other than that, I enjoy spending time with my family and seeing movies.

Question: Are you planning on doing any book signings for your new book "For the Love of the Game?" We thought it was excellent and would travel to any city to see you.

Michael: Unfortunately my schedule will not allow time for any book signings this fall. I'm glad you enjoyed the book -- I had a good time putting it together. My hope was that fans would gain a better insight into my thoughts and feelings about my basketball career, and my "love for the game."

Renee from Derwood, MD

Question: Why did you choose the number 23 as your number?

Michael: My favorite number had always been #45 -- which was my older brother Larry's number. When I got to high school, I couldn't have #45 because Larry had it -- so I decided to have half of his number....22 and 1/2, which rounded to #23. That's the real story of how I came to wear #23.

Jeremy from Springfield, Ohio

Question: Do you feel you are in better shape now then when you were a rookie?

Michael: Definitely. Of course, when I was younger, I didn't have to work as hard to stay in shape. Several years ago, I learned the importance of weight training for specific muscles, and have noticed how much it improved my game. My trainer and I developed a program which really enhanced my game, my mental ability and my overall physical strength. For more information, check out my trainer's table on my web site.

Question: Do you change shoes in every game you play?

Michael: Yes -- I like to wear a new pair of shoes for each game that I play. I like the firmness of a new shoe, and it has become part of my game ritual to always lace up a new pair of shoes before each game.
