of the NCAA Tournament.
The Mountaineers of the Big East Conference, the No. 10 seed in the West,
never trailed. They built an 18-point lead in the first half and stretched it
to 33 in their first NCAA tournament victory since 1989.
Jarrod West scored 15 for West Virginia, nine in the first half. Brent Solheim added 13.
Did you know: Temple made its
14th appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 15 years under Chaney.
