His program at Florida State is the only school with 11 straight bowl victories and 11 consecutive seasons of 10 or more victories. The Seminoles are the only team in history to finish in the top four in the Associated Press poll for 11 consecutive seasons.

What in your life are you most grateful for?
Being raised in a Christian home in a Christian nation.

Is there something about yourself that you would like to change?
Yes, evil thoughts.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 items would you like to have with you?
Rifle, ammunition, rabbits.

What is your favorite place in the world?
1. Birmingham, Alabama.
2. Berchtesgaden, Germany.

If you could be someone of the opposite sex, would you and who would it be?
No, absolutely not.

What characteristic do you despise in other people? Admire?
Despise: phoniness. Admire: humility.

If I were to push "play" on your CD player, what would be playing?
Glenn Miller's Orchestra.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be?
Billy Graham.

You have to fly across country, who would you like to sit next to?
My wife.

If your life were a feature film, would it be a comedy, action or drama?
Comedy.

It's your last meal, where and what do you eat?
Olive Garden Restaurant, lasagna.

Who do you most admire? Why?
Billy Graham. He's the closest to Jesus of all I've known. Dr. James Kennedy, he's the second of same.

What do you like best about your life? Least
Best: my family. Least: public criticism.

What is a perfect day?

  • 7 a.m. Breakfast at Cracker Barrell Restaurant.
  • 8 a.m. 18 holes of golf with my sons and son-in-law.
  • 1 p.m. Sit on the beach with my wife, children, spouses and 21 grandchildren.
  • 7 p.m. Eat supper at Captain Andersons Restaurant.
  • 8 p.m. Go by ice-cream store for a cone.
  • 9 p.m. Sit in swings on the beach with my family and gab.
  • 11 p.m.Watch 1 hour of TV and hit the sack!
