Craig Biggio

A lifetime .292 hitter, Craig Biggio had a career year in 1998, finishing with a .325 batting average, 20 home runs, 88 RBI and 50 stolen bases. In 1997, he led the major leagues and set the Houston Astros' team record by scoring 146 runs, the most in a single-season in the National League in 66 years. Biggio became the first player in major league history to make the All-Star team at catcher (1991) and second base (1992).

What is your favorite place in the world?
My couch on Sunday morning with the remote and clicking on every NFL game that is on.

You have to fly across country, who would you like to sit next to?
Thurman Munson.

What is your pet peeve(s)?
I don't like liars or fakes.

If you could be a fly on the wall anywhere, where would it be?
Bill Clinton's office.

What superstitions do you have?
Where do you want to start?

Tony the Tiger Frosted Flakes for breakfast with my two sons in the morning.

What is one word or phrase that best describes you?
Professional.

U2.

What in your life are you most grateful for?
My family.

Who had the most influence on your career?
My dad.

What record will never be broken?
(Joe) DiMaggio's 56-game hit streak.

What is the best part about being a professional athlete? And the Worst?
Putting on the uniform and taking it off.

What is a perfect day?
Waking up in the morning and kissing the kids and then doing the same thing before they fall asleep at night.
