Mike Ditka

Mike Ditka is the only active NFL coach in the Hall of Fame. He was an All-American at the University of Pittsburgh, NFL Rookie of the Year (1961), All-Pro (1961-66), Super Bowl Champion as a player with Dallas (1972), Super Bowl champion as an assistant coach with Dallas (1977) and Super Bowl Champion as head coach of the Chicago Bears (1986). He began his NFL career in 1961 when he was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the first round (fifth overall). Mike was named the 12th head coach in the Saints' 32-year history in 1997. His overall career coaching record is 118-78.

Is there something about yourself that you would like to change?
What I want to change, I do change.

Who do you most admire? Why?
Jesus Christ. He's the Lord & Savior of my life.

If I were to push "play" on your CD player, what would be playing?
Sinatra or 50's music.

What is your favorite place in the world?
Being on one of the golf courses I belong to early in the morning.

You have to fly across country, who would you like to sit next to?
No one.

What is your pet peeve?
People who whine and complain.

What in your life are you most grateful for?
Being who I am - health, family, friends.

What do you like best about your life?
Everything.

What do you like least about your life?
Nothing.

If you could be someone else for a day, who would it be?
Peter the Apostle.

It's your last meal, where and what do you eat?
Iron Mike's in Chicago. Paddle Steak.

Do you have any regrets?
I wish I had learned to play the piano.

What is a perfect day?
Everyday you wake up.
