CBS kicks off coverage with pair of top matchups

NEW YORK -- Two top early-season matchups -- Ohio State-West Virginia and Florida-Tennessee -- will kick off CBS Sports' college football coverage. Ohio State travels to Morgantown, W.Va., for a night game on Saturday, Sept. 5 (8 p.m. ET), while the Gators and Volunteers renew their rivalry in Knoxville, Tenn., on Sept. 19 (8 p.m.). During the season, CBS, which released its schedule on Thursday, also will televise home games of the Southeastern and Big East conferences as well as the Army-Navy game on Dec. 5. Among games to be televised by CBS are: Miami-UCLA (Sept.26); Alabama-Tennessee (Oct. 24); and Georgia-Florida (Oct. 31). Two Notre Dame games are scheduled, at Boston College (Oct. 31) and vs. Navy at Jack Kent Cooke Stadium (Nov. 14) CBS also televises the Norwest Sun Bowl on Dec. 31. |
