Arnold Palmer Golf Management assisted the City of Sevierville in
the development and opening of Eagle's Landing Golf Club. The City faced
a marketing challenge to attract not only local play, but a significant
and continual growth pattern in rounds and revenues from the local
tourism market (Eagle's Landing is on the road to "Dollywood" and other attractions).
The marketing experience and expertise of Arnold Palmer Golf Management enabled the City to initiate programs and campaigns to foster tourism in the Sevier County area through "Stay and Play" hotel packages. Arnold Palmer Golf Management worked closely with the Chamber of Commerce and Visitors' Bureau to grow the program to over a dozen local hotels.
The Palmer brand and image of quality has been used extensively at Eagle's Landing to attract tourists and local golfers alike. The course also has developed a number of local tournaments and special events designed to increase overall exposure, play and revenues.
Since opening in May 1994, Eagle's Landing continues to receive compliments not only from the players but also from the local press for its facilities and conditions, which, under Arnold Palmer Golf Management, Eagle's Landing has exceeded Sevierville's expectations. Additionally, because of Arnold Palmer Golf Management's expertise in golf course management, the financial performance of Eagle's Landing has also exceeded Sevierville's expectations. |
