Arnold Palmer was taught by his father, that if you can stick to basic fundamentals and have a good attitude, you will give yourself the best chance to play great golf. What makes the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy different is that we use these basic principles to teach Mr. Palmer's proven techniques. Instructors personally approved by Mr. Palmer work with your natural ability to develop rather than force a technique or style that remakes your game.

Q: What qualifications do your instructors have?
A:All of the instructor’s are personally approved by Mr. Palmer and are members of the PGA of America. They have been certified to teach the Palmer philosophy, and are required to pass an annual re-certification in order to keep their teaching status.

A: In the winter months November through March, Arnold Palmer resides at his Bay Hill Club in Orlando, FL. When he is in town during those months he conducts his business and plays each day at Bay Hill. At all the other academies, Mr. Palmer usually makes one appearance a year at each facility.

Q: Is there any time set aside to talk about the rules and etiquette of the game?
A: Absolutely, because one of the biggest reasons Arnold Palmer started the golf academy was to uphold the traditions of the game. This is achieved by incorporating the rules and etiquette’s of the game into our three and five day programs while instruction is being done on the golf course.

Q: I am just starting the game, will I be able to attend your academy?
A: At least 30-40% of our students are people who are beginners or who have been playing less than three years. Going to our academy is the best thing you could ever do if you are a beginning golfer because we teach basic fundamentals in order to keep the game simpler and as a result more enjoyable.

Q: I have a single digit handicap, do you have programs for me?
A: Again, the beauty of our curriculum is the flexibility and basics of what we teach. We can have a beginner, intermediate, and single digit handicap player all going through the same program at the same time. We tailor the instruction to each individual according to his or her capabilities.

Q: I have heard a lot about the helpfulness of video equipment during the learning process, do you use this in your teaching?
A: At all Arnold Palmer Golf Academies we apply video equipment by taping each individual before and after, voice over, make comparisons to tour professionals, draw graphics, and edit in drills and exercises in order to communicate effectively what you the individual needs to do to steadily improve. Each student leaves with their own tape which will then serve as a great reference tool down the road.

Q: I am interested in buying some clubs, do you offer club-fitting to your students?
A: The Palmer Golf Equipment Company has designed a quick fit system for club- fitting our students. All of our programs, i.e., 1/2, 3, and 5 day, can easily accommodate a club-fitting to each individual if the instructor observes inadequate equipment being used or if a student shows an interest in knowing their club specifications.
