General
ELIGIBILITY 1. The SportsLine Rewards Program (the "Program") is open only to residents of the U.S.A., at the sole discretion of SportsLine.com, Inc. ("SportsLine"). Employees and consultants of SportsLine, CBS, Inc., Kobie Marketing, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and members of the immediate families of any SportsLine employee or consultant are ineligible. For the purposes of the preceding sentence, "immediate family" is defined as a parent, sibling or any person residing in the same household as employee or consultant. Program eligibility is subject to change. 2. No purchase is necessary to join the Program. All enrollments must be submitted online via the designated enrollment process in the SportsLine Rewards registration area. Each person (a "member") may enroll only once. Any attempt to join the Program multiple times, whether through the use of multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities, or through the use of any other device or artifice, will result in the termination of all involved accounts. All enrollment information becomes the property of SportsLine. Please see our privacy statement for the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. 3. SportsLine reserves the right to disqualify any person and/or account from participation in the Program and to refuse to award or redeem points, if in its sole judgment, such Member is not in good standing or if Member, or any other person using Member's account, violates any of the terms or conditions of the Program, including, without limitation, engaging in fraud or other abuse. Such disqualification may be temporary or permanent and may result in the forfeiture of accumulated points. 4. Only one SportsLine Rewards or SportsLine Rewards Plus membership account is allowed per household. You may access this account from different computers, as long as you log in with your Password and user ID at least once from each computer. 5. You must be at least 13 years of age to participate in the SportsLine Rewards program. POINT ACCRUAL 1. Each Member enrolled in the Program will earn points on designated services, purchases, page-viewing activities, and special promotions from SportsLine at a rate specified in the Program communications. Points may only be earned after the official start of the Program on 1/13/99. SportsLine activities and purchases that occur prior to the official start date, or prior to enrollment in the Program, do not earn points. 2. You will earn one point per page view per day (two points per page view per day for SportsLine Rewards Plus) up to a maximum of 50 pages per day. However, pages viewed using the Back or Forward Button (or any other browser-based navigation) and pages cached by an Internet Service Provider or other entity will not count as page views. 3. Points will only be earned on pages viewed in the SportsLine domain (that is, SportsLine.com URL's). Pages viewed at affiliated sites outside of the SportsLine domain will not earn points. 4. There will be frequent opportunities to earn bonus points for viewing certain areas of the SportsLine site. These points can be earned by a member account once per day, and are available over and above the daily page viewing maximums. SportsLine Rewards Plus members do not earn double points from these bonus point opportunities. 5. Points awarded as a result of a purchase will be forfeited if the item or service purchased is returned or cancelled. 6. No points will be earned (and/or points previously earned will be deducted) for any unauthorized, fraudulent and/or disputed transactions. 7. Points awarded in the Program are non-negotiable and have no cash or monetary value. 8. Points accrued in any Program account do not constitute property of the account holder and are not transferable by operation of law or otherwise to any person or entity and cannot be transferred to any other Program account. SportsLine is not responsible for, nor bears any liability for, any disputes concerning the ownership, redemption, or disposition of any Program points awarded. 9. Points remain in each account until the account is closed or terminated, or until the Program is terminated. POINTS EXPIRATION 1. If you are a member of SportsLine Rewards, unused points expire one year after you enroll in the program. 2. If you are a member of SportsLine Rewards Plus, your points never expire. REWARDS 1. All Rewards are subject to availability. If the chosen Reward is unavailable at the time it is requested, SportsLine may substitute a Reward of equal or greater value. Some Rewards and special offers may have limited availability or black-out dates or may only be available at specified times. Certain restrictions may apply to the Rewards. Terms and conditions of each Reward are set forth in Program communications and/or on the certificates. Further, Members are subject to, and must comply with, the terms and conditions of the participating airlines, hotels, and other participants providing Rewards. 2. Members may only redeem one Hot Pick per day, per (household) account, regardless of the number of different Hot Picks offered. Items in the Rewards Catalog may be redeemed for with no limit as to frequency or quantity, subject to the points required for redemption. 3. Rewards may only be redeemed in accordance with Program communications. Allow up to six (6) weeks for delivery of Rewards. Merchandise featured on the Program web site may not necessarily reflect exact colors or models of actual Rewards due to variations and/or manufacturers' updates or photo transmission used for generic representation of merchandise. Rewards cannot be sent to a post office box and can only be sent to addressees in the continental U.S. 4. Program Rewards and/or certificates will be issued only in the name of the Member. Any certificates issued must be surrendered at redemption, and no photocopies of certificates will be honored. Fulfillment of certificates is the sole responsibility of the participating supplier. The disposition of unused portion(s) of certificates is determined by the participating supplier. Certificates are not transferable, have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash or its equivalent, and any unused portion will not be returned as cash unless it is the policy of the participating supplier to do so. Certificates are void where prohibited by law. Use of any certificate is subject to any additional restrictions listed on the certificate. Neither SportsLine nor any merchant granting a certificate is responsible for lost, stolen or mutilated certificates. 5. Any additional travel, accommodation or other arrangements made in connection with any Reward are the sole responsibility of the Member. 6. Redeemed Rewards are not refundable or transferable for cash, credit, or points under any circumstances. Returns or exchanges for Reward items are handled by the Reward supplier and not by SportsLine. 7. Merchants participating in the Program are subject to change. SportsLine reserves the right to modify or cancel any Reward at any time. 8. Only the Program Member in whose name the Program account was opened may redeem points. If someone else redeems your points, neither SportsLine nor any other supplier of any Reward is liable whatsoever for redemptions made in good faith to people who claim they have the authority to act on your behalf. Points will be deducted from your Program account as of the date you redeem points for an award. Your new point balance will appear in your account at the time of the each transaction. 9. BY REDEEMING REWARDS, THE PROGRAM MEMBER AGREES TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPORTSLINE, CBS, INC., KOBIE MARKETING, PARTICIPATING PROGRAM SUPPLIERS, SPONSORS, CONTRIBUTORS AND EACH OF THE FOREGOING ENTITIES' RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES AND ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR INJURY, ACCIDENT, LOSS, CLAIM, EXPENSE OR DAMAGES SUSTAINED IN CONNECTION WITH THE RECEIPT, OWNERSHIP, OR USE OF ANY REWARD REDEEMED OR RECEIVED UNDER THE PROGRAM, OR OTHER PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM. 10. SportsLine makes no promises or representations as to the current or future tax consequences that may result from the crediting, disposition, redemption or cancellation of Program points. Any federal, state and/or local taxes as applicable shall be the sole responsibility of the Member. PROGRAM ACCOUNT 1. Points earned for page views will be posted to your account within 72 hours. Points earned for Bonus Buys purchases, upgrades to SportsLine Rewards Plus and other SportsLine product purchases are posted after your credit card is billed. Only those points which are posted are available for redemption. Information about the number and availability of points earned are accessible from the Program website located at http://rewards.sportsline.com/tr/owa/sportsclub.pointsstatement. If you have additional questions about your points or the Program, or want to obtain current Program information, you may e-mail us at rewards@sportsline.com. 2. Points accrued in the Member's Program account may be redeemed for Rewards provided the Member's account is in good standing and not cancelled or terminated by SportsLine or by Member at the time the redemption request is made (except as provided below). If someone else redeems your points, neither SportsLine nor any other supplier of any Reward is liable whatsoever for redemptions made in good faith to people who claim they have the authority to act on your behalf. 3. If, in SportsLine's sole judgment, a Member's account is not in good standing, the Member's enrollment in the Program may be cancelled and any points accrued by Member may be forfeited. SportsLine reserves the right to audit all Program Accounts for compliance with the Program Rules. In the event an audit reveals any point or other discrepancies, including any fraud or abuse in the accrual of points or the redemption of Rewards, SportsLine reserves the right to delay the award and redemption of points, to adjust any account point balance, to terminate any Program account, or to take any other action deemed appropriate in SportsLine's sole discretion. 4. If you voluntarily close your Program account(s), your Membership in the Program will end and you will not earn further points. If you have any points in your account prior to closing your account, you may redeem them for up to sixty days after your account is closed. SportsLine reserves the right to terminate your account if the account is inactive for 3 months or more. 5. SportsLine reserves the right to terminate the Program in whole or in part, at any time or for any reason. In such event, Members will have not less than sixty (60) days from the date of any Program termination notice to redeem accumulated Program points, subject all of the terms and conditions hereof. No further points may be earned after the termination date. After 60 days, all unredeemed points will be forfeited. GENERAL 1. SportsLine reserves the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to change the terms and conditions relating to the Program. Such changes may affect outstanding transactions and points, and may include, without limitation, how points are awarded, how many points are awarded for each transaction, the number of points required to earn Rewards, the imposition of caps on points awarded or redeemed and the types of Rewards offered. SportsLine reserves the right to terminate the Program entirely on ninety days' notice to Members. 2. SportsLine shall not be liable for errors or omissions of any kind by its employees or agents in the presentation of the Program information, including but not limited to errors in advertising or in these Official Rules, nor shall SportsLine be liable for any claim, loss, or liability for its interpretation or carrying out of the Program rules. 3. All questions or disputes regarding the Program, including questions regarding eligibility, the accrual of points and the redemption of points for Rewards, and the interpretation and application of these Rules shall be resolved by SportsLine in its sole discretion. All such determinations shall be final and conclusive. 4. Members agree to allow SportsLine and CBS, Inc. to use their names and likenesses for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. 5. SportsLine assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, account balances, points earned and redeemed or other Program activities, no matter how sent. SportsLine is likewise not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or enrollment to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Member's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Program. If for any reason the Internet portion of the Program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Program, Sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. 6. ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SPORTSLINE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FOR ANY SUCH ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. 7. In the event of a dispute, redemptions, point-earning activities, and other Program activities made by Internet will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of registration. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. |
