| Outlook | Always a solid team in contention, they have lacked
the little extra something
special to put them over the top.
Coach Tom Fitzgerald's biggest task is filling the scoring void caused by the loss of Stern John.
Fitzgerald hopes John Wilmar Perez can be the creator with Brian McBride, Jeff
Cunningham, Brian West and newly acquired Dante Washington capable of
scoring goals.
The Crew's challenge is to defend consistently with much expected of veteran midfielder Robert Warzycha as Brian
Maisonneuve and Todd Yeagley nurse injuries.
The Crew will once again be one of the better teams, just not the best. But they will
have enough to be crowned the first-ever Central Division champs. |
