1Greg Rusedski-
England's Rusedski closed a perfect week with a final win over Spain's Felix Mantilla in Indianapolis to claim his 12th career title, the second this year. He won in Auckland, New Zealand, the week before the Australian open. He defeated Australia's Lleyton Hewitt and Germany's Tommy Haas in Indianapolis.
2James Blake-
USA's Blake claimed his first career title on the Tour at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington, DC. With the win, Blake became the first African-American to win in Washington since Arthur Ashe in 1973. He defeated fellow American Andre Agassi in the semis and Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan in the final.
3Paradorn Srichaphan-
Srichaphan was mostly known for knocking Agassi out of Wimbledon in straight sets last june, until he reached the final in DC. He had previously reached the final in Chenai, India, but has yet to win an ATP title.
4Felix Mantilla-
Spain's Mantilla lost to Rusedski in the final of the RCA Championships in Indianapolis. That was his second appearance in a final this year, after the Doha Open in Qatar.
5Andre Agassi6
Agassi lost to Blake in semifinals of the Legg Mason Classic in DC. He is still a top contender in every hard court event he enters.
6Tommy Haas6
Germany's Haas came back with a vengeance. Following a very disappointing first round loss to USA's Michael Chang in Cincinnati, two week ago, he reached the semis in Indianapolis. He lost to Rusedski there, but everybody lost to Rusedski last week including world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt.
7Rainer Schuettler7
Germany's Shuettler is one unheralded player on the Tour and yet he consistently reaches the quarterfinals and semifinals of the tournament he enters. He lost to Mantilla in the semis in Indianapolis, following a quarterfinal in Cincinnati the week before.
8Marcelo Rios7
Chile's Rios reached the semis in DC where he lost to Srichaphan. He hadn't been that successful since the Masters Series in Miami, where he lost to Agassi at the same stage.
9Thomas Emqvist7
Sweden's Enqvist put up a great show against Agassi in the quarterfinals of the Legg Mason Classic. That's the second time in as many weeks that he loses to Agassi.
10Lleyton Hewitt2
Hewitt has been overwhelmed by Rusedski's serve. He remains a comfortable leader of the ATP Champions Race, but hasn't won since Wimbledon.
