NEW YORK (AP) Lyle West, a little-used rookie safety for the New York Giants, was suspended on Monday for four games after testing positive for steroids.

West, a sixth-round draft choice from San Jose State, was sidelined early in the season with a hamstring injury. He has played in six of the team's ten games, mostly on special teams, and has no tackles.
